Our summer institutes and special programs for 2008 bring to you the richness of UCLA’s commitment to academics and community involvement in new and exciting formats. You will find remarkable opportunities for academic study. You will also have exposure to the practical side of global business, entertainment and media, community internships, and immersion in research of your own design.

Our range of institutes includes new workshops and professional development opportunities for advanced graduate students and career professionals. Summer is the best time for honing professional skills and exploring career-enhancing opportunities.

Intensive Academic Format: All credit-bearing summer institutes and special programs are developed from courses that are already part of UCLA’s regular curriculum. Upon completion, your UCLA transcript will list the specific courses with grades for each separately. Students from other University of California campuses attending these programs benefit from automatic transfer of their UC transcript.

Financial Aid: Financial aid is available to qualified UCLA students. Click here for more information. A limited number of full and partial scholarships are available to qualified California high school students for summer study at UCLA. Click here to learn more.

Registration and Fees: Program and course fees vary by program. Please note that, in many cases, it is necessary to charge slightly higher fees for participants who are not matriculated University of California students. Current fees are available at this site.
