CIBER-Shanghai Overview

Experience a dynamic summer in Shanghai studying Chinese Language and Culture for Business! These courses for both beginners and more advanced Chinese language speakers are designed to provide insights into the 21st century China’s business environments - its society, economy and culture.  The readings, classroom discussions and professional talks all focus on China’s latest developments on economic, political and cultural fronts.  The courses promote a deeper understanding of China’s business climate, and help students to overcome linguistic, geographical and cultural barriers to achieve higher communicative competence in business contexts. 

No Chinese language background is required for curriculum I. Please note that intermediate to advanced Chinese language proficiency is required for curriculum II of this program. For more details about each curriculum, please visit the Curriculum page for this program.
