History-Greece Overview

Studying ancient history, philosophy, culture, and the origins of Western Civilization in Greece, this traveling program visits Athens, Delphi, Olympia, Nauplion, Thessaloniki, Santorini, Crete, and other destinations. Students explore ancient Greece through a combination of classical archaeological site visits, lectures, and the works of Homer, Plato, Sophocles, and Aristophanes. The program features a cruise to the Greek Islands.

Teo Ruiz Undergraduate Travel Study Fellowship
The UCLA History Department is pleased to announce that they will award a $1,500 fellowship to a UCLA History major participating in one of this summer’s History Travel Study programs. Eligible students must be UCLA History majors going on their first summer Travel Study program with a 3.5GPA or better in History and a 3.0 GPA overall. Students must also be UCLA financial aid recipients who have applied for aid for their Travel Study program. The fellowship application is due by March 28, 2008 to 6250 Bunche Hall. Applicants will be notified by end of spring quarter.

Financial aid is available to qualified UCLA students. All other students should inquire about financial aid at their home institution.
