UCLA Summer Sessions offers more than 700 courses from approximately 60 UCLA departments in six-, eight-, nine-, and ten-week sessions. In addition, more than 30 specialized institutes offer concentrated programs in business, the arts, law, medicine, languages, and other subjects. Many students take advantage of Summer Sessions to enroll in courses they were unable to take during the year, repeat courses in which they may have done poorly, lighten their academic load for the following term, or complete graduation requirements more quickly. Some special programs are designed for advanced high school students. Enrollment is open to UC students and visitors.
