This Institute is a six-week program that includes two interrelated courses. Through interactive discussions and classroom presentations, each student will discover how to function in real-life situations. Students will learn to communicate effectively and easily with Americans--in America, in their home country, and in the world at large.

Listed below are the two courses offered by the Institute. For information on the classes, please view the Curriculum. Students may choose to take either course individually or both courses together. 

 

Communication Studies 1A--Public Speaking for Nonnative Speakers
Session A: June 24 to August 2, 2013
Session C: August 5 to September 13, 2013

Communication Studies 1B--Learning American English and Culture from the Movies
Session A: June 24 to August 2, 2013
