Drop and Cancellation Policy
In order to secure a place in a UCLA Summer Institute, a deposit is required at the time of registration. Please know that this deposit is not refundable under any circumstances. As a result, students should be sure of their intent to participate in a program when registering.
Drop
To officially drop from a program, students must retrieve their online registration form to officially cancel their enrollment.
Cancellation
The program fee (minus the deposit) is refundable until June 1. Our programs require up front costs, therefore; no refunds can be granted after the June 1 refund deadline.
For regular UCLA academic courses,* please view the Summer Sessions refund policy.
*This policy is applicable to the Stem Cell Science course for high school students, Brain-Mind-Wellness, Labor Summer Research Internship Program, Social Innovation Research Program, Summer Institute in Creative Writing, Summer Institute in International Development, and Teaching English as a Second / Foreign Language (TESL/TEFL).
Changes to the Program
Please note that summer offerings are subject to change, without prior notice, by action of the academic department offering the course/program. Changes include, but are not limited to, meeting time and location changes, instructor substitutions, and cancellation. The academic department will endeavor to notify students of such changes and suggest alternatives when applicable. In the event of cancellation, we are not responsible for any consequential loss or expenses incurred as a result; only the course/program fee, as well as campus, registration, material and/or IEI fees if applicable, will be subject to refund.
