Program Cost

*The registration fee for international students is $700. International students on a F-1 Student Visa are required to purchase a health insurance policy through UCLA for $225.

**All fees are subject to change by action of the UC Regents.

Language Intensive Fee Reduction

A reduction in fees is available for all UCLA and other UC undergraduate and graduate students who enroll in certain summer language intensives. The fee reduction will calculate automatically. No application is necessary.

There is a $1,000 reduction in course fees for the following 15 unit intensive courses:

1. Arabic 8
2. Chinese 8
3. Hebrew 8
4. Iranian 8
5. Japanese 8
6. Korean 8

$2,595 undergraduate course fee - $1,000 = $1,595
$3,645 graduate course fee - $1000 = $2645

$800 reduction in course fees for the following 12 unit intensive courses:

1. African 15 (Swahili)
2. African 25 (Yoruba)
3. African 29 (Igbo)
4. African 55 (Tigrinya)
5. African 56 (Amharic)
6. French 8
7. German 8
8. Greek 16
9. ILA 17 (Quechua)
10. Italian 9
11. Latin 16
12. Russian 10
13. Spanish 10

$2,076  undergraduate course fee - $800 incentive = $1,276
$2,916 graduate course fee - $800 incentive = $2116

Who Qualifies

1. All UCLA and other UC students (undergraduate and graduate students)
2. New UCLA first year, transfer, and graduate students admitted for fall 2009
