Faculty

Leading the UCLA Mock Trial Institute is Gonzalo Freixes, J.D., professor in the UCLA Anderson School of Management and Coach of the 2004 and 2005 National Champion UCLA Mock Trial Teams. A graduate of Loyola Law School, Prof. Freixes has been an Attorney at Law for more than 25 years, with extensive experience in international, corporate transactional and litigated matters. He has been a Business Law and Taxation professor at the UCLA Anderson School of Management for 15 years, and has also taught courses in Corporate Law, Business Law and Litigation for the UCLA Extension program.

Professor Freixes has lectured extensively on legal and tax issues, most recently at the University of Valencia Law School in Valencia, Spain. Professor Freixes will be directing and teaching in UCLA Anderson School of Management's Entrepreneurship Institute for Undergraduate students. He also leads a UCLA Travel Study program on International Business Law in Europe for undergraduate students.

Professor Freixes is originally from Cuba and he is fluent in three languages (English, Spanish and French). He has traveled extensively throughout France and studied its language and culture for 10 years.
