**There are a number of inexpensive campus eating establishments located around the UCLA campus. All students should bring money for lunch each day.
Financial aid for Summer Sessions Institutes is available to qualified UCLA students. All other students should inquire about financial aid at their home institution. For details about the financial aid application process, please visit the Financial Aid section of this Web site.
UCLA ethnomusicology, music, and musicology majors may apply to the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music Student Opportunity Fund for a grant to subsidize the fee for these institutes. The application for this Fund will be posted at www.schoolofmusic.ucla.edu.
A limited number of full and partial scholarships are available to qualified California high school students for summer study at UCLA. Click here for more information.
All applicants are required to submit a $150 nonrefundable deposit upon registration. You may pay by credit or debit card using our secure online credit card form. Your $150 deposit is nonrefundable.
If you are waitlisted for a program, your payment is not due until your application is moved from the wait list. You will be notified by e-mail with payment instructions.
Final payments should be made via URSA, UCLA's online records system. To access this system you will need to establish a Logon ID and password using your UCLA Identification Number (UID). If you are new to UCLA, a UID will be assigned and sent to you via e-mail after the deposit has been paid.
Final payment of your program balance is due May 1. After May 1, full fees are collected at the time of registration. There are no refunds after June 1.
Students are not required to purchase any textbooks or materials for this program. Any required materials will be distributed to students during the program.
