GIST Overview

The UCLA GIST provides hands-on instruction in the use and application of geographic information systems (GIS) and related technology.  Designed to serve a broad and diverse audience, the program integrates interactive learning methods with practical concerns and real-world applications.  The curriculum for the GIST program was developed by UCLA faculty experts in geographic information systems and technology who have over 20 years of experience teaching and applying GIS in a variety of local, regional and global settings.  The program will also serve as an excellent arena where relationships can be developed, experiences shared and professional networks developed.
