
RIPS is a nine-week summer research program in applied mathematics for undergraduates in the sciences, math, engineering, and computer science sponsored by the Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics (IPAM). High-achieving undergraduate students work in teams on a real-world research project proposed by a sponsor from industry or a national lab; last year's sponsors included Pixar, JPL, Symantec, and Los Alamos.
