The Travel Study Experience
Travel Study offers
students the chance to explore another country and another culture within a wholly UCLA structure. The teaching faculty are UCLA professors and teaching
assistants who are experts in their field. The accommodations and excursions are arranged
by UCLA staff in accordance with UCLA standards and regulations. Finally, Travel Study offers UC credit which
can be vital to the timely completion of a degree or major.
The Travel Study Participant
Travel Study attracts students whose degree plans may not allow for an entire semester or year to study abroad. Travel Study students are ambitious learners who realize that living in a culture is the fastest way to understanding it just as living in a country is the fastest way to speaking its language.
The Travel Study Advantage
Travel Study gives its participants the knowledge and familiarity that only first-hand, real-life experience can offer. Because the programs are short and cost-effective, students can combine their Travel Study experience easily with other UCLA programs to complete a richly diverse undergraduate experience.
Intensive Academic Format
Travel Study courses are drawn from UCLA's regular curriculum and carry full academic credit. Varying from four to six weeks, these intensive short-term programs offer from 8 to 16 units of UCLA course credit. All courses must be for a letter grade. There is no GPA requirement to participate.
